From May to 17 September 2010, the Transport and Housing Bureau conducted a public consultation exercise on the subject of subsidising home ownership. We issued a consultation framework to give focus to the debate and facilitate discussion. Views collected would be forwarded to the Chief Executive for his consideration.

On 13 October 2010, the Transport and Housing Bureau published the Report on Public Consultation on Subsidising Home Ownership (Report). The Report consists of two parts, namely the main report and the appendices. The former provides a summary analysis of the views collected while the latter contains the submissions and views collected during the consultation exercise as well as the report of the focus group study conducted by the Public Policy Research Institute of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
